Bolton bolts and Chavez blues
December 4th 2006 20:39
Early morning roundup.
John Bolton is going to resign. That means that the last neocon is gone from the Bush administration, which is now full of the so-called realists. A big disappointment for anyone who had hoped to see the UN made relevant to the present day world.
On the other hand, Hugo Chavez is almost certain to win with a huge margin and that makes it a double whammy to take it this morning. What is wrong with the world?
BTW, look at this absolutely stupid headline from Bloomberg, "Chavez Calls Re-Election Bush Defeat, Vows to Fight U.S. " It might suit the delusional Chavez to think he might be the rival of Bush, but for a media outlet to repeat that without noting the irony is itself a big irony.
